Embarrassment at Buckingham Palace as The Royal Family’s official website links to pornography page with live sex shows

There is embarrassment at Buckingham Palace tonight after The Royal Family’s official website accidentally sent readers to a Chinese pornography site broadcasting live sex shows.

The website’s charity page, which lists the different patronages members of The Royal Family are connected to, often hyperlinks to external websites.

However, when clicking on the link of a Welsh charity of which Prince Harry is patron, readers received more than they bargained for.

The web address was supposed to follow through to Dolen Cymru, a charity founded in 1985, aiming to create “lasting, positive change in the southern African Kingdom of Lesotho and in communities in Wales.”

Buckingham Palace has not commented on the situation and the mistake has since been rectified.

Prince Harry became patron of Dolen Cymru in 2007 after meeting members whilst he was on a gap-year in Lesotho in 2004.

When he became patron, Harry said: “I am so very proud to be associated with Dolen Cymru.

“The work that it does in assisting and encouraging organisations and individuals in Wales to establish contact and foster friendships with their counterparts in Lesotho is quite invaluable.

“I know from my own work in Lesotho just how important such links are and fully support Dolen Cymru in its great endeavours to develop contacts with organisations with common interests, such as my own Sentebale and to build upon the great understanding and co-operation that exists between the two nations.”
