The King and Queen attend the second day of Royal Ascot as they are joined by Edward & Sophie

The King and Queen have attended the second day of Royal Ascot, much to the delight of the crowd in attendance.

Their Majesties arrived as usual in the grand carriage procession down the straight course in front of the grandstands, before they headed inside the parade ring.

The King & Queen were joined in their carriage by  the Earl & Countess of Halifax.

Meanwhile, the Duke & Duchess of Edinburgh travelled in the second carriage in the procession.

They were joined by Lord Soames of Fletching and Lady Sarah Keswick.

Zara and Mike Tindall attended the first day of Royal Ascot on Tuesday, but waited until today to make an appearance in the carriage procession,

They were joined by William Haggas, and his wife, Maureen.

Haggas was one of Queen Elizabeth II’s primary racehorse trainers, and continues to train for King Charles & Queen Camilla.

Finally, in carriage four, musical maestro Andrew Lloyd Webber was joined by his wife.

Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber are keen racehorse owners themselves, having a number of horses in training.

Also in the fourth carriage was Sir Michael Stoute who trained Estimate to Gold Cup glory in 2013 for Queen Elizabeth II.

They were accompanied in the carriage by Lady Spencer-Churchill.
