Royal wedding set for 2024

Hearts may have broken across the royal watcher world as the Sultan of Brunei announced that his son, Prince Abdul Mateen (one of the world’s most eligible bachelors), was set to wed.

Prince Mateen, 32, will marry Anisha Rosnah Adam in January 2024.

The royal wedding celebrations will last 10 days, beginning on 7 January; the couple’s Islamic solemnization for the wedding will occur on 11 January. The wedding reception will take place on 14 January, and a banquet will follow the following evening.

Celebrations will also include a parade around Brunei’s capital Bandar Seri Begawan.

The pair have dated for quite a while, as Anisha has been seen at two of Prince Mateen’s sisters’ royal weddings.

Anisha Rosnah Adam is the granddaughter of one of the Sultan’s special advisors, and her brother is said to be close friends with the Prince. Anisha reportedly owns the Silk Collective company and runs a tourism company alongside her friend.

Prince Mateen is a helicopter pilot boasting 2.5 million Instagram followers. He’s the tenth child and fourth son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. He is fifth in the Brunei line of succession behind his two older brothers and two nephews.
