They are the stuff of dreams and become instantly memorable but many of the most famous royal weddings dresses in history have far more interesting stories behind them than that. From a bride forced to put aside her dream dress for political reasons to a gown that was designed to inspire a nation to look to the future, these outfits are as symbolic as they are personal.
