Sweden’s Royal Court releases official Jubilee portraits

Sweden’s Royal Court has released official Golden Jubilee images.

The photographs were taken ahead of the Gala Dinner for King Carl Gustaf’s 50th anniversary at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.

The photos show the strong bond between the Nordic nations, highlighting the heads of state in each country and the representing royals from Scandinavia.

One photo features the King with his wife, Queen Silvia, daughter, Crown Princess Victoria and son-in-law, Prince Daniel, alongside Queen Margrethe, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, King Harald, Queen Sonja and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, and the Nordic heads of state, and their spouses.

A second image is of the King, Danish Queen, Norwegian King, President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson of Iceland and President Sauli Niinistö of Finland.

Celebrations for the King of Sweden began on 14 September and will conclude on 16 September.
