Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is an interesting fashion case for royal watchers. She favours a strong silhouette with bold colours but also tends to gravitate towards a similar look with suits for many of her day engagements. However, she had several stand-out ensembles from 2024 with different looks.
Roland Mouret Twisted Panel Cady Dress, Stockholm (May 2024)
This bubblegum pink Roland Mouret dress is a rewear- Crown Princess Victoria first wore it in May 2023 for a Buckingham Palace reception ahead of King Charles’s coronation. The twisted panel across the bottom of the bust and waist introduce an interesting dimension to gown that pairs beautifully with the soft pleats of the skirt. Although the colour may be too much as a full gown, it pops perfectly as a structured-midi dress.

She chose this look for the Danish State Visit to Sweden in May, and the elevated ensemble holds it own against Queen Mary of Denmark’s strong look.
Christer Lindarw Gown, Stockholm (May 2024)
The Danish State Visit to Sweden was Crown Princess Victoria’s big style moment of 2024, as she had several notable outfits from this visit. For the State Banquet, Victoria chose an ice-blue, one-shouldered gown from Christer Lindarw. Not only was the colour beautiful on her, the intricate beading throughout the gown provided sparkle and glam. In a fashion-forward moment, she chose a plexiglass translucent clutch from Gucci.

The beading of her dress provided the perfect backdrop for the Connaught Diamond Tiara, a gem that has been in the Swedish Royal Family for over a century. The diamond tiara has five forget-me-not wreaths made of diamonds, each with a diamond pendant, with a base of diamond upright flowers with diamond bows underneath each.
Blouse and Camilla Thulin Vogue Skirt, Stockholm (June 2024)
We have another bold daytime look from the Swedish Crown Princess in June, with pink proving to be her colour of 2024. For the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award ceremony in June, Victoria wore a blush pink, short-sleeved blouse with a bold pink floral skirt from Camilla Thulin, proving that pink was Crown Princess Victoria’s colour of 2024.
The “Vogue” skirt is a midi-length, circle skirt that echoes Christian Dior’s famous “New Look”. In one of her best accessory choices of the year, the Crown Princess wore the Pippi Necklace from Maria Nilsdotter- a necklace of Pippi Longstocking, the creation of author Astrid Lindgren.
Although we often see Crown Princess Victoria turning to her tried and tested suits, she will sometimes a choose a wonderfully playful look.
