Princess Ingrid-Alexandra of Norway may be second-in-line for the Norwegian throne but is taking her role as future monarch seriously. She has spent the majority of 2024 carrying out military training and announced in October that she would be extending her training until April 2025. However, in her few appearances with her family in 2024, she is showing a refined sense of style at only twenty years old.
Reformation Zelda Dress, Oslo (May 2024)
In May 2024, King Frederik and Queen Mary carried out their first State Visit to Norway since the accession to the throne. While Princess Ingrid-Alexandra did not join the official events of the visit, she did join King Frederik- who is also her godfather-, Queen Mary, King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit for a private lunch.

The princess chose a green floral print midi-dress from Reformation for the lunch. Although the dress does have a simple silhouette, the floral pattern and tie details on the three-quarter length sleeves add dimension.
Galvan London Pandora Gown, Geiranger (August 2024)
In her other major outing of the year, Princess Ingrid-Alexandra attended her aunt’s wedding in Geiranger. Princess Märtha Louise married American Durek Verrett in an elaborate ceremony and royals from Norway, Sweden and the Netherland’s royals turned.

Ingrid-Alexandra joined her family in wearing a bunad for the ceremony, a traditional Norwegian folk costume that the Norwegian Royal Family often wear for special occasions. For the gala dinner afterwards, though, she chose an elegant navy gown from Galvan London. The satin gown features a twisted halterneck that the Princess put the spotlight on with a sleek ponytail.
