Princess Estelle shines in ninth birthday photos

estelle

Princess Estelle of Sweden celebrates her ninth birthday today. New photos of the future Queen of Sweden were released by the Royal Court to mark the occasion this morning.

The new images were taken at Haga Palace by Kate Gabor.

Due to the current pandemic, it is expected that the Princess will celebrate her birthday at home at Haga Palace with her family.

The Crown Princess Family regularly releases images of their two children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, to the media and the Swedish public. They traditionally release photos on their birthdays, Sweden’s National Day, and Christmas, as well as other important events. As a result, the Swedish public and media leave the family alone in public; you don’t see paparazzi on the streets following them as they conduct their day-to-day private lives.

Princess Estelle, Duchess of Östergötland, is the elder child of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. She was born on this day in 2012 at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna. She has one younger brother, Prince Oscar, who will celebrate his fifth birthday on 2 March.

Estelle was the first grandchild for King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden and is second in line to the Swedish throne.

Estelle currently attends the Campus Manila School in Stockholm where she is in grade 2.
