King and Queen of Sweden test positive for COVID-19

King Carl XVI Gustaf, 75, and Queen Silvia of Sweden, 78, have tested positive for COVID-19.

The royal couple tested positive last night, according to the Royal Court.

Their Majesties are fully vaccinated and have had their booster shot.

The Royal Court says that the King and Queen “have mild symptoms and feel well under the circumstances.”

They are isolating at home in accordance with health guidelines. Contact tracing is taking place.

So far, no other member of the Royal Family is positive.

Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia all had COVID last year.
