King Felipe and Queen Letizia’s two daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, shine in the Royal Family’s 2021 Christmas card released by Casa Real.
In the image, the King and Queen stand behind their two teenage daughters in an outdoor setting.
The photograph was taken in the gardens of Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. The typed message on the card says, “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2022” in both English and Spanish.
The card also features a handwritten message from Felipe, which says: “With all our affection and warm wishes.”
Each member of the family has also signed the card.
This is the greeting card that will be sent out to well-wishers who send the Royal Family Christmas greetings this holiday season. There is also an English version of the card where His Majesty’s handwritten note is in English for the non-Spanish speaking well-wishers.
Casa Real also released the 2021 Christmas card of Felipe’s parents, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofía. It does not feature a picture of them but instead a photo of a nativity scene at the Royal Palace of Madrid. The typed message on their says: “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” with 2022 being handwritten in at the end.
