King Felipe also gave a speech to encourage all of the Spanish athletes and to wish them luck with their competitions. He touched on the unique upcoming opening ceremonies in his speech; the Paris pening ceremonies are the first ever to be held outside of a stadium, as there will be several boats travelling down the Seine River to officially open the games.
