Crown Princess Mette Marit finally arrives in Paris

Crown Princess Mette Marit of Norway has joined her husband in Paris to catch the tail end of the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette Marit are together in Paris for the Olympics and were at the Stade de France on Friday evening to cheer for several Norwegian athletes competing for gold.

Henriette Jæger competed in the Women’s 400 metre athletics event on Friday and unfortunately placed in eighth place.

Karsten Warholm’s evening at the Stade de France was quite successful, though. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess cheered Warholm on as he won a Silver Medal in Men’s 400 m Hurdles. This is Norway’s third medal of the 2024 Olympics, with one Gold Medal, one Silver Medal and one Bronze Medal.

The Norwegian royal couple were cheering loudly throughout the evening, with both Haakon and Mette Marit excited to be there. The Norwegian Royal House has shared photos of the couple at the stadium looking happy.

Crown Princess Mette Marit was originally going to arrive in Paris earlier in the week with Crown Prince Haakon. However, her 27 year old son, Marius Borg Høiby, was arrested on Sunday and she had stayed in Oslo to support her son.
