Crown Prince Haakon of Norway has met the star of the 2024 Olympic Games- the muffin man.
Crown Prince Haakon of Norway arrived in Paris earlier this week and has hit the ground running. He first met with TikTok star and Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen, known as the muffin man across social media for his love affair with the double chocolate muffins at the Olympic Village. The Norwegian Royal Family shared a photo of the two meeting, complete with the famous chocolate muffin.
The Crown Prince spent time in the Olympic Village meeting with Norwegian athletes to chat about their Olympic experiences.
On Monday evening, he watched Anders Berntsen Mol and Christian Sandlie Soerum win their semi-final in Men’s Beach Volleyball against the United States.
He was at Vaires-sur-Marne on Tuesday to see Anna Margrete Sletsjoee, Hedda Oritsland, and Kristine Strand Amundsen complete the Women’s Kayak 500-m Sprint.
He also was able to catch the Men’s 1500-m Final to see Jakob Ingebrigtsen take fourth.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit had originally planned to be in Paris with her husband but instead had to remain in Norway after her older son, Marius Borg Høiby, was arrested on the weekend. It has not been confirmed whether she will attend the remainder of the Olympic Games.
