Crown Prince Haakon of Norway has returned to Paris, this time to support his country’s Paralympians as they compete.
The Norwegian Royal Family has shared on social media that Crown Prince Haakon was in Paris again to see some of the Paralympic competitions.
He began his day by visiting the Paralympic Village and meeting with competitors to discuss their experiences at the games.
The Crown Prince was also able to watch Helle Sofie Sagøy win a Bronze Medal in Women’s Single Badminton- S4 with her victory over Khalimatus Sadiyah from Indonesia.
He also was able to cheer on Fredrik Solberg as he swam to a Bronze Medal finish in the Men’s 50m Freestyle- S9.
Norway has thirteen competitors at the 2024 Summer Paralympics who are competing in: athletics, badminton, cycling, equestrianism, rowing, swimming, and table tennis. Norway currently has five medals: two silver medals and three bronze medals.
Crown Prince Haakon joined the rest of the Norwegian Royal Family in Geiranger over the weekend to celebrate Princess Martha Louise’s wedding to American shaman, Durek Verrett. He and wife Crown Princess Mette Marit and children Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus joined King Harald and Queen Sonja on the royal yacht to travel to and from the wedding.
