It has been revealed that Charlotte Casiraghi and her fiancé, Dimitri Rassam will tie the knot this Saturday at the Princely Palace of Monaco. The daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Mr Rassam have reportedly decided to baptise their seven-month-old son on the same day.
In April Royal Central revealed that the long-awaited marriage of Charlotte Casiraghi and her finacé, the French-Lebanese film producer Dimitri Rassam would take place this June. Now the specific date has been announced. According to Hola, the niece of Prince Albert of Monaco will marry her boyfriend of 2,5 years on Saturday the 1st of June 2019.
Charlotte will tie the knot at the same location as her brothers Andrea and Pierre, the State Rooms at the Princely Palace of Monaco. It has been reported that besides the wedding, their seven-month-old son, Balthazar will be christened. After the ceremony, a private luncheon will be held at the Palace.
Just like her brothers before her, the granddaughter of Princess Grace of Monaco has opted for a location wedding for her religious ceremony. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, the religious service is expected to take place at the commune of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in France. Charlotte and her brothers grew up in that commune. The second ceremony and subsequent party will reportedly be the largest celebration.
Charlotte and Dimitri got engaged in early 2018 and were expected to marry in the summer of that year. However, the couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Balthazar in October. Therefore, the pair decided to postpone their wedding until the summer of 2019.
The love story of Charlotte and Dimitri began at a party at the end of 2016. The pair had known each other for a long time, but both were involved with other people until they saw each other at the party.
Both Dimitri and Charlotte have children from previous relationships. From her relationship with comedian Gad Elmaleh, Charlotte has a son named Raphael (5). Dimitri has a daughter named Darya (7) with his ex-wife, the Russian model Masha Novoselova.
The marriage of Charlotte and Dimitri will not be the only wedding to take place in Monaco this year. Charlotte’s cousin, Louis Ducruet, will marry his fiancée Marie Chevalier this summer as well.
