There seems to be something in the water in Monaco as pictures appear to confirm that Princess Caroline’s daughter, Charlotte Casiraghi is also expecting a baby. Also, Charlotte’s sisters-in-law, Tatiana and Beatrice are pregnant. The Princely Family of Monaco will be welcoming three new babies in 2018.
The Italian and French press were already speculating on a possible pregnancy for Princess Caroline’s oldest daughter Charlotte as she made an appearance at the Bal de la Rose at the end of March. However, now pictures seem to show Charlotte with a baby bump. The father of the new baby is Charlotte’s boyfriend, the film producer Dimitri Rassam.
At the Bal de la Rose, Charlotte was also spotted wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger sparking rumours that the couple is engaged. Thus the relationship of Charlotte and Dimitri seems to be developing fast. The ninth-in-line to the throne and the son of actress Carole Bouquet reportedly started dating at the end of 2016.
For Charlotte Casiraghi, the new child will be her second, a brother or sister for four-year-old Raphaël. Raphaël was born out of her relationship with Gad Elmaleh which ended in 2015. Also, Dimitri already has a child, his six-year-old daughter with his ex-wife Masha Novoselova.
Charlotte is expected to give birth at the end of August.
In December, Royal Central reported on the pregnancy of Princess Caroline’s daughter-in-law Tatiana Casiraghi. Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana (née Santo Domingo) are expecting their new baby any day now. They already have two children, Sasha and India.
Then, at the Bal de la Rose at the end of March, Beatrice Casiraghi (née Borromeo) showed off her baby bump in a very elegant black dress. Princess Caroline’s younger son, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice are expecting their second child in the summer. Their son Stefano is one-year-old.
This means that Princess Caroline of Monaco, older sister of Prince Albert II, will be welcoming her fifth, sixth and seventh grandchildren in just a couple of months.
Next to three royal babies and a marriage for Charlotte and Dimitri, Princess Stéphanie’s son Louis Ducruet is also to marry his girlfriend Marie Chevalier this year. Princess Stéphanie, Prince Albert II’s younger sister, announced the engagement of her son and Marie at the end of February. The Principality of Monaco will have a lot to celebrate this year.
