Princess Charlene thanks God for “blessing me with such wonderful children” as twins celebrate 7th birthday without their mum

Princess Charlene of Monaco has posted a loving tribute to her twins on their seventh birthday, calling them a blessing as she celebrates away from them in an undisclosed location for medical issues.

The Princess of Monaco is having to miss her children, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques’s seventh birthday, as she receives treatment outside Monaco. She did, however, take time to post about her beloved children on Instagram, saying, “Happy birthday my babies. Thank you God for blessing me with such wonderful children. I’m truly blessed. Love mom.”

She shared three images of the twins blowing out their birthday candles at the Princely Palace for the post. The Princely Palace shared similar photos on their Instagram account.

Charlene’s husband, Prince Albert II, told People magazine that the family is making it a priority to visit Charlene before the holidays. “It’s what we most hope for, but there is no definite date at this time,” he said.

Gabriella and Jacques will have a Spongebob-themed party on 11 December with family and friends at the Princely Palace. Prince Albert told People that the twins are unaware of the theme, and he has surprises in store for them.

The twins have been homeschooled since October due to the global health situation, and some classmates attend school with them at the Princely Palace. Albert said this was a way of protecting them during this time.

Charlene returned to Monaco four weeks ago after being forced to stay in her home country of South Africa for months due to an ear, nose and throat infection that grounded her in the country and prevented her from travelling. She required several surgeries before she could return to Monaco. After returning to the Princely Palace, it became clear that she was still not well, and she left the country for treatment.

It is not clear when Her Serene Highness will be well enough to return to Monaco again.
