Tessy Antony de Nassau reveals baby gender at baby shower

Tessy Antony de Nassau and her fiancé, Frank Floessel, have revealed their baby’s gender at their Swiss baby shower that took place on Wednesday at the Seehaus, Herrliberg in Zürich.

The couple are having a baby boy due this summer. They revealed the baby’s gender via a piñata, made by Las Hermanas Piñata, that dropped blue decorations. Both mother and father are thrilled, but it is especially exciting for Frank as this will be the first boy in his family.

About the baby shower, Tessy said: “What a magical baby shower it was :). Frank and I are over the moon that it is a beautiful baby boy as Frank has no boys in his family. With us, our three children, Julia, Gabriel and Noah, are extremely excited to meet their baby brother soon.”

Tessy is already the mother of two sons, Prince Gabriel (b. 2006) and Prince Noah (b. 2007) with her ex-husband, Prince Louis of Luxembourg. Frank is a father to a daughter, Julia. None of the baby’s siblings were able to attend the baby shower.

Tessy’s parents attended, as did Gaultheir Destenay, the husband of Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel. The event followed all COVID-19 guidelines and featured a gin bar for the men.

The shower doubled as a gender reveal and was decorated with white, pink and blue flowers. There were also Luxembourgish themes in the national colours of red, white and blue as the shower was held on Luxembourg’s National Day.

Tessy and Frank want their son to be raised with love for both of their cultures. Frank said: “For my future wife, her heritage as being Luxembourgish is very important to her, and I want to make sure as her future husband to honour that and embed these traditions into our son’s life as much as she honours my Swiss and German heritage. A beautiful European love story.”
