Four images, taken this month, were released yesterday by the Grand Ducal Court, taken by Cyril Moreau. Three of the four pictures are just of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, while the fourth photo features the entire family.
Grand Duke Jean reigned as the Grand Duke of Luxembourg from 1964 until he abdicated in favour of his eldest son, Henri on 7 October 2000. Henri’s heir apparent is Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume.
Grand Duke Jean was married to the late Grand Duchess Joséphine Charlotte of Luxembourg who was born a Princess of Belgium as the daughter of King Leopold III. Together, they had five children: the now Archduchess Marie Astrid of Austria, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, Prince Jean of Luxembourg, the now Princess Margaretha of Liechtenstein, and Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg.
Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa married in 1981, and they have five children: Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Prince Félix, Prince Louis, Princess Alexandra, and Prince Sébestian. They now have four grandchildren: Princes Gabriel, Noah, and Liam and Princess Amalia.
