The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg are packing in the visits at the Olympic Games in Paris and they’ve brought pretty much their whole family along, too.
On day one, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were joined by the Hereditary Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, as well as their second son, Prince Felix, and two of his children, at the House of Luxembourg at the Stade Jean Bouin. It is part of a joint space shared by Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, and Germany and fans are able to visit and support their nations there.
The family had fun with Grand Duke Henri turning his hand to ping pong and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.
On day two, they were joined by their only daughter, Princess Alexandra, and her husband, Nicolas Bagory, as well as by their younger sons, Prince Louis and Prince Sebastien, to complete the family reunion.
The whole family visited the Olympic Village in the sun where they met with different Luxembourgish athletes and wished them luck. They also took “the” iconic Olympic photo with the athletes, a photo in front of the Olympic Rings in the Village.
Both Princess Alexandra and her husband, and Prince Louis and Prince Sebastien took in events on day two.
Grand Duke Henri has strong connections to the Olympic Games, as he became a member of the International Olympic Committee after joining in 1998.
