Olympics brings first glimpse (sort of) of Europe’s newest royal baby

One of Europe’s newest royal babies has made their public debut but their proud mum and dad were keeping them well under wraps.

Victoire, the baby girl who joined Luxembourg’s royal family in May, was brought along to the Paris Olympics by her parents as they joined the Grand Ducal celebrations at the Summer games.

She was seen with her parents, Princess Alexandra and Nicolas Bagory, as they enjoyed some of the early events at Paris 2024.

Alexandra, only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, kept her little girl well protected from the strong sun that’s now hit Paris after the start of the Games was deluged by rain. Victoire was in a baby carrier and shaded by a white muslin.

The first glimpse of Victoire Bagory came on the official social media of the Grand Ducal court as it shared images of the family enjoying the Olympics.

Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria were also with two of their other grandchildren, Princess Amalia and Prince Liam, as they visited a series of events. Amalia and Liam are the older children of Prince Felix and his wife, Princess Claire. Felix joined his family at the Olympics but Claire, who gave birth to their second son in January, hasn’t yet been seen.

Victoire was born on May 14th 2024 and is currently ninth in line to the throne of Luxembourg.
