The Hereditary Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg was photographed together for the first time as they left the maternity ward where its newest member was born.
Prince Guillaume, Princess Stéphanie, Prince Charles and newborn Prince François left the Grand Duchesse Joséphine Charlotte Maternity Hospital beaming as they brought the new baby home.
Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie was wearing a pink blouse, white short coat and navy blue trousers, and was holding Prince François, swaddled in a white blanket. Meanwhile, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume was sporting grey jeans, and a navy blue top, while holding Prince Charles in his arms.
The toddler, wearing navy blue trousers and a red jumper, gave his brother a loving pat before being appearing to come over shy as he remembered the photographers were there.
The newborn Prince then went to his family’s residence at Fischbach where his brother and parents were ready “to show him his new home”.
Francois Henri Luis Marie Guillaume was born on March 27th 2023 and is third in line to the throne of Luxembourg behind his father and big brother.
Although this was the first time that the world got a glimpse of the Royals as a family of four, the hospital exit was not the first time the entire family was reunited. In an interview given to Luxembourgish press, Prince Guillaume revealed that Prince Charles was among the first visitors that arrived at the hospital to see the new Prince.
Prince Guillaume also briefly left the hospital and his dad duties to attend the inauguration of the new headquarters for Scouting in Luxembourg, which has been relocated to the newly renovated Malakoff Tower, a building originally from 1861.
The upcoming Easter break is going to be the perfect time for Princess Stéphanie to recover in the peace of her home, and for the whole family to get acquainted with the new baby, and adjust to their new life as a family of four.
