The Jordanian Royal Family has just gotten a little bigger. King Abdullah and Queen Rania have become an uncle and an aunt once again as the King’s younger half-brother, Prince Hashim’s wife, Princess Fahdah gave birth to their fifth child. The Royal Hashemite Court made the announcement on Tuesday.
Prince Hashim and Princess Fahdah welcomed a baby boy, their second son, who they named Mohammad Al Hassan on Monday, 21 October.

“The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein and Princess Fahdah Hashim were blessed, on Monday, 21 October 2019, 22 Safar 1441 Hijri, with a baby boy they named Mohammad Al Hassan.
“The Royal Hashemite Court extends its sincere congratulations to Their Royal Highnesses on this occasion.”
Their four older children are Princess Haalah bint Hashim (b. 6 April 2007), Princess Rayet Al-Noor bint Hashim (b. 4 July 2008), Princess Fatima Al-Alia bint Hashim (b. 5 November 2011), and Prince Hussein Haidara bin Hashim (b. 15 June 2015).
Prince Hashim was the tenth child of King Hussein through his fourth and final wife, American Queen Noor. King Hussein died in 1999, and Hashim’s older brother ascended the throne. Hashim has one older full brother, Prince Hamzah and two younger sisters, Princesses Iman and Raiyah.
Queen Noor, who is active on Twitter, has not publicly commented on the social networking site on her new grandchild.
