It has been announced that the Queen’s granddaughter, Zara Tindall, is pregnant with her second child.
Mrs Tindall, who is married to former England rugby player Mike Tindall, will give birth to her second child later this year.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said The Queen and The Royal Family were “very pleased” to hear the news.
The couple’s first child, Mia, was born in January 2014 and is now nearly four years old.
The announcement of Zara’s pregnancy was made she and her family enjoyed a working holiday in Australia.
The new baby will be The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh’s seventh great-grandchild, and will be Princess Anne’s fourth grandchild.
When born, presuming it arrives after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s, the baby will become 19th-in-line to the throne.
The couple had previously announced that Zara was pregnant in 2016, however, she suffered a miscarriage in December of the same year.
Zara, who married Mike in July 2011 at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh, Scotland, admitted Mia came earlier than they initially planned.
“It probably happened quicker than we thought – bit of a shock, really.”
