The Princess of Wales does throwback Hallowe’en and everyone is saying the same thing about her photo choice

The Prince and Princess of Wales have surprised everyone with a throwback photo to mark Hallowe’en.

As October 31st, William and Kate took to social media to wish everyone a ‘Happy Hallowe’en’ with a never before seen image.

And their pick got everyone saying the same thing.

The new to you photo shows Prince Louis, then aged 1, about to attempt to lift a pumpkin.

However, plenty of royal watchers took to the comments to say they thought the photo was of another royal.

Little Louis bears a striking resemblance to his older brother, Prince George, at a similar age.

In fact Louis, who is now eight, even had the same blonde hair as George did at the same age even though the younger prince is now much darker.

The photo, added to X and Instagram, showed Louis approaching his task with typical verve. The toddler prince is about to try and pick up a pumpkin that is almost as big as him.

This Hallowe’en post is something of a new venture for the Prince and Princess of Wales. The couple usually shares photos to mark their birthdays and those of their children. However, the Hallowe’en throwback was a fresh stance on showing royal family life.

It’s not the first time that the similarity of George and Louis as babies has been noticed. Photos taken of Louis with his grandfather, King Charles, when he was little showed him looking very like his older brother.

The Hallowe’en weekend came at the end of the half term holidays which have seen George back home for his first extended stay since becoming a boarder at Eton earlier this autumn.

Ahead of the half term, the Princess of Wales had spoken about how excited she was to have her eldest child back in the family home for an extended period and chatted about how she missed George, 13, when he was away.

His siblings, Princess Charlotte, and eight year old Louis, are continuing their education at Lambrook where they are day pupils. However, Prince William revealed that the Wales family had already tried out Lambrook’s occasional boarding programme with George spending nights away there before he left in July.

November is lining up to be a busy month for the family with the Prince of Wales looking ahead to the annual Earthshot Prize which will be held this year in India.
