Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel paid a visit to the Stockholm School of Economics, one of Europe’s leading business teaching institutions with a focus on community.
Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by Rector Lars Strannegård on Wednesday, 9th March 2022. They received an initial briefing on the development of the School in recent years and an overview of the key points of their principles.
During the meeting, the Rector also introduced FREE, their educational platform, named after a Ingmar Hedenius’s quote that says that a well-educated human being is “free and alive in relation to the unknown”.
It was then time for the Crown Princess Couple to join a meeting with researchers from five different areas of the School and listen to their findings in their respective areas, which included the Russian economy and family businesses.
To conclude the visit, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel met three students, Douglas Begtsson, Tindra Hedlund and Lovisa Bergdahl, who told them about their experience as students of the Stockholm School of Economics.
The Stockholm School of Economics (or SSE) is an internationally recognised institution that focusses on global economy, with many researchers being leading voices in their respective fields.
Crown Princess Victoria and even more Prince Daniel have always been very interested in the study of economics and entrepreneurship, with Prince Daniel founding the Prince Daniel Fellowship for Young Entrepreneurs, aimed at offering the younger generation all the tools to thrive in an increasingly more globalised market.
