The Princely Palace of Monaco has issued an update on the health of Princess Charlene ahead of Christmas.
In a press release sent to AFP, the Princely Palace has said the Princess of Monaco’s recovery is continuing “encouragingly” and will take a few more months.
“The convalescence of Princess Charlene continues in a satisfactory and encouraging way, even if her recovery should still take a few months. As soon as her health is restored, it will be with great pleasure that the Princess will once again share moments of conviviality with the Monegasque,” the Princely Palace said.
The Princely Palace also said that Prince Albert would take their seven-year-old twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, to see their mother for Christmas.
They also asked that people continue to respect the family’s privacy during this time.
Princess Charlene, 43, is undergoing treatment for an unspecified reason in an undisclosed location outside Monaco. She entered the treatment facility after experiencing fatigue.
Charlene had been grounded in her home country of South Africa from May until November of this year after an ear, nose and throat infection made it impossible to fly. She required several surgeries to correct the condition and was finally cleared to return to Monaco in November.
The Princess of Monaco did wish everyone a Merry Christmas on her Instagram account and shared a family portrait that is featured on their Christmas card this year.
