When Prince Albert married Charlene Wittstock, first in a civil ceremony on 1 July and second in a religious ceremony the following day in 2011, royals from across the world flew into the tiny principality for the festivities. Each reigning European royal family, except Spain, was represented, as were several non-reigning royal families.
Let’s take a look at the royals in the audience on 1 and 2 July 2011:
Belgium:
King Albert and Queen Paola, then-Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde, Prince Laurent and Princess Claire, and Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz all attended on behalf of the Belgian Royal Family.

Sweden saw King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Madeleine attend.
