Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are to welcome their first baby together.
The Royal Family has announced the couple are expecting a child in the autumn of 2021.
The baby will be eleventh in line to the throne at the time of their birth.
In an announcement on social media, the Royal Family said ”Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in the autumn of this year. The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
Beatrice’s baby will be a second grandchild for the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York and a cousin for August Brooksbank, the son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, who was born in February 2021. The new arrival will also be a twelfth great grandchild for the Queen and the fourth she will welcome this year.
The princess has often spoken of her happiness at being stepmother to Edoardo’s son, Wolfie, born during a previous relationship.
Beatrice and Edoardo married on July 17th 2020 in Windsor.
