2017 was a big year for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The two announced their engagement, and about a month later, the future Duchess would join the Royal Family for their annual Christmas Day Service at Sandringham in Norfolk, England.
Walking side-by-side with Prince Harry’s brother and his wife, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this was Meghan’s first public appearance with other senior royals.
According to British media, it would be the first time someone not yet married into the Royal Family was invited to take part in the celebrations. The Christmas celebration came just weeks after the couple made their first public appearance together in Nottingham. Meghan made a historic move that paved the way for Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the then – fiancé of Princess Beatrice – to join in the holiday festivities a year later.
