Princes Gabriel and Noah, 14 and 12 respectively, are excited to meet their new baby cousin, Prince Charles, when the restrictions for COVID-19 are lifted and it’s safe to do so.
Prince Charles is the first child of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie, who was born yesterday morning in Luxembourg. Baby Charles is now second in line to the throne and will one day reign as Grand Duke of Luxembourg.
As the news was announced about the royal birth, Gabriel and Noah’s mum, Tessy Antony de Nassau, posted a congratulatory message on her social media accounts where the congratulated the couple and wished Stephanie a happy first Mother’s Day.
She also shared the thoughts of her two boys who she said were “so excited” to meet baby Charles “hopefully soon.” Tessy said that Gabriel and Noah were “screaming of joy” and couldn’t wait to play with him.
Prince Noah said he couldn’t wait to “play with him with his warhammer little figurines.”
On Twitter, Tessy also said: “We are thrilled! It’s a boy!!” and shared: “Welcome to the world little Charles. Gabe and Noah are so excited to meet you hopefully soon.”
Prince Charles Jean Philippe Joseph Marie Guillaume was born on 10 May at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg City at 5:13 am.
The child weighs 3,190 kg and is 50 cm.
The Grand Ducal Court said then: “The Hereditary Grand Duke and Hereditary Grand Duchess look forward to introducing him to the people of Luxembourg.”
His birth was celebrated with a 21-gun salute, and the Hereditary Grand Ducal Couple have expressed their wish that people support child welfare projects in lieu of sending gifts.
