Kensington Palace reveal where Princess Charlotte will go to school

Princess Charlotte will go to the same school as Prince George in September it has been announced.

Kensington Palace says that when the new school term begins in September, the four-year-old Princess will attend Thomas’s Battersea.

Charlotte will start her school journey in the Reception classes.

Headteacher of Thomas’s Battersea, Simon O’Malley, said: “We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea. We greatly look forward to welcoming her”.

Princess Charlotte has been attending nursery school at Willcocks Nursery close to Kensington Palace since January of last year.

Thomas’s Battersea teaches 560 students between the ages of four and 13 and is structured into three levels: Lower School, Middle School and Upper School. Fees per term begin around £6,000.

The school operates under a “framework of ‘Enjoyment, Learning and Achievement’, which informs a child’s journey through the school,” according to its website. Classes in art, ballet, drama, ICT, French, music and physical education are all taught by specialists.

Prince George was enrolled at Thomas’s Battersea in September 2017 and is allegedly known as George Cambridge – at least, it’s what was embroidered on his school bag when he was dropped off on his first day.Additional reporting by Jess Ilse
