Despite being Prime Minister for less than an hour, Boris Johnson has already made a major gaffe as he revealed what The Queen said to him in private audience.
According to Euronews, Her Majesty said to Mr Johnson: “I don’t know why anyone would want the job.”
The Prime Minister made the remarks when he first entered Downing Street and was given a tour of the building.
Aides quickly respondent and told Mr Johnson not to repeat comments made by The Queen.

The Queen formally appointed Boris Johnson as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after he assured Her Majesty that he can command a majority in the House of Commons.
Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is The Queen’s 14th Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.
Mr Johnson was appointed to the role just a matter of minutes after Theresa May tendered her resignation to The Queen on Tuesday afternoon.
After the kissing of the hands, Mr Johnson left Buckingham Palace as the United Kingdom’s 55th Prime Minister and arrived at his new home, 10 Downing Street, where he addressed the nation.
A Buckingham Palace statement read: “The Queen received in Audience The Right Honourable Boris Johnson MP this afternoon and requested him to form a new Administration.
“Mr Johnson accepted Her Majesty’s offer and kissed hands upon his appointment as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.”
