Yellow Bhutan has released their June calendar which features a new photo of three-year-old Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck (also called the Druk Gyalsey or Dragon Prince) of Bhutan.
The photo was taken in Punakha, according to the King and Queen’s Instagram profiles which shared the new image of their son.
Yellow Bhutan also wished Queen Jetsum Pema a happy 29th birthday in their post in which they shared the June calendar.
With the release of the calendar, Yellow Bhutan said, “We are delighted to share our June Calendar, which features a photograph of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey in Punakha. The enthusiasm with which our monthly calendars are received is always heartening. We know that seeing His Royal Highness grow up so quickly brings you special happiness, so we hope our June calendar brightens up your month.
We join the people of Bhutan in offering Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen our respectful wishes on Her Majesty’s Birth Anniversary on June 4, with all our love and prayers.”
You can download the June calendar here.
Each calendar features Gregorian calendar dates and Bhutanese Lunar calendar dates, as well as public holidays in Bhutan.
It is available to download for both Macs and PCs for desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
The Bhutanese royals have featured on the calendar several times over the past few years and will, no doubt, continue to do so.
King Jigme and Queen Jetsun Pema were married in October 2011, and the birth of their first child was honoured by the planting of 108,000 trees in Bhutan by thousands of volunteers. Known simply as The Gyalsey (‘the prince’) for the first few months of his life, the new-born Prince Jigme’s name was not announced to the world until 16 April 2016.
The Gyalsey or Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck is the only child of the King and Queen of Bhutan. He was born on 5 February 2016 in Lingkana Palace in Thimphu, Bhutan.
