The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made an official visit to Only Connect’s London offices on Tuesday morning.

Prince William and Kate, who left Prince George at home, visited the crime prevention charity’s headquarters as they spent time speaking with staff and listening to the stories of the young people Only Connect works with.

The new parents spent the morning at the charity’s headquarters at Kings Cross as they heard how the crime prevent charity helps youth offenders get their lives back on track.

As they arrived, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were greeted with cheers. New mum Kate looked elegant in the Orla Kiely bird-printed dress she first debuted in 2012, on an official visit to the Art Room.

The regal royal complimented her look with suede ankle boots and a dark-coloured clutch bag.

During the visit, the couple toured the head office spending time listening to how the charity had helped the youth offenders. William and Kate also watched a dance performance and the Duchess was seen smiling as she experienced the wonderful performance.

Only Connect reaches 10,000 young people every year and their projects has reduced re-offending by 50 per cent.

The Duke and Duchess will also spent time visiting two sister projects at the head office, first Bounce Back, which works with prisons and secondly Handmade Alliance, which helps prisons learn skills such as textile making. William and Kate were then be treated to a dance performance before they leave.

The Duke has continually worked to help former offenders rebuild their lives after leaving prison, and as patron of the St Giles Trust, which aims to give support to those leaving prison, he visited their Camberwell offices earlier this month.
