Zara Tindall welcomes her third child

Zara Tindall and her husband, Mike, have welcomed their third child, a baby boy.

Zara gave birth to her son on March 21st 2021. He weighed 8 pounds and 4 ounces and has been named Lucas Philip.

The baby boy is a first son for Zara and Mike Tindall who already have two daughters, Mia, 7, and Lena, who is now 2.

Lucas Tindall is a tenth great grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh and a fifth grandchild for the Princess Royal. He is also Princess Anne’s first grandson.

The new arrival was announced by proud dad, Mike Tindall, in his podcast, The Good, The Bad and The Rugby. He revealed that his son was born at 6pm on March 21st after a very quick labour and Zara didn’t make it to hospital. She delivered her son on her bathroom floor with her husband at her side.

Buckingham Palace issued a short statement saying ”The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news and look forward to meeting their tenth great grandchild when circumstances allow.”

Baby Lucas is twenty second in the line of succession to the throne. He is the second great grandchild to be welcomed by The Queen and Prince Philip this year after the arrival of Princess Eugenie’s son, August Brooksbank, in February. They will welcome a new great granddaughter this summer when the second child of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex is born.
