Princess Eugenie’s wedding dress to go on display at Windsor Castle

The wedding dress of Princess Eugenie is to go on display at Windsor Castle next month.

Jack Brooksbank’s wedding outfit will also be displayed alongside his wife’s dress from 1st March until Monday 22nd April.

Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos designed the dress. The duo owns the label Peter Pilotto.

To create the item, the designers looked back at previous Royal Wedding gowns to design Eugenie’s dress.

The dress was developed layer by layer, constructing it from the corset and the complex underskirt to the fitted bodice and full pleated skirt.

It features a neckline that folds around the shoulders to a low back that drapes into a full-length flowing train.

The low back feature on the dress was at the specific request of Princess Eugenie who had surgery aged 12 to correct scoliosis.

Princess Eugenie has always been very open about having been diagnosed with scoliosis.

She invited representatives from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, including her surgeon, Dr Jan Lehovsky, to the wedding which took place in October last year.
