Buckingham Palace has revealed that Lady Louise Windsor has been accepted into the University of St Andrews to study English following the successful completion of her A Levels.
The Scottish university is amongst the world’s most prestigious, with previous alumni including the likes of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge who were both introduced to each other at the establishment.
Her Royal Highness will begin her undergraduate degree in September, with the course expected to last for three years.
The 18-year-old royal has spend the past year studying and completing her Advanced Level qualifications in able to secure her spot at the university.
Buckingham Palace has not made her grades public, but entry standards at St Andrews are known to be set at AAA, with minimum entry grades of ABB needed to study English.
A royal spokesman said: “Having received her A-level results today, Lady Louise will start at St Andrews University in September to study English.”
In an interview a couple of years ago, Louise’s mother, the Countess of Wessex, spoke of her hopes that her daughter would attend university, describing her as “quite clever”.
