The cypher of Queen Camilla has been unveiled, just days before it’s first public use.
Her Majesty’s cypher will be used on the cross she places at the Fields of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on November 10 2022.
Queen Camilla’s cypher has been designed by Professor Ewan Clayton, a calligrapher on the Faculty and Academic Board of The Royal Drawing School. He worked in collaboration with Timothy Noad, Herald Painter and Scrivener at The College of Arms.
The cypher includes the monogram ‘CR’ – C standing for Camilla and R for ‘Regina’, the Latin for Queen. Her Majesty’s cypher also includes a representation of the Crown.
It will be used on her personal letterheads as well as cards and gifts sent by Queen Camilla.
The King’s cypher has already been revealed.
