The special photo which confirmed Princess Eugenie’s baby news

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank

Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have shared a special image as they confirm that they will welcome their first child next year. As they announced their new arrival, the couple added a photo of a gift they’ve already bought for their baby on Eugenie’s official social media account.

Taking to Instagram, the princess wrote that ”Jack and I are so excited for early 2021” alongside an image of a pair of baby slippers being held in the clasped hands of the proud parents to be.

The social media post came after Buckingham Palace had confirmed that the couple will become a mum and dad early next year. The brief royal statement said ”Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021. The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news.”

The new royal baby will be eleventh in line to the throne from birth and will be a ninth great grandchild for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
