The Princess of Wales dominates headlines around the world amidst outpouring of support for Catherine

The Princess of Wales has dominated headlines around the world in the past days after she confirmed she is being treated for cancer.

Catherine’s moving announcement was on the front pages of every British newspaper the following day.

The Times led its coverage with the message of hope that dominated the statement from the Princess as it headlined ”Princess reveals her cancer and says: I’m going to be OK”. The Daily Mail also led with ”I am well and getting stronger every day….I am going to be OK.”

The Daily Telegraph’s front page showed the Princess of Wales delivering her message, daffodils behind her in a nod to the title she now holds. Its headline was ”Cancer came as a huge shock”. The Daily Mirror chose ”Kate reveals cancer shock” while the Daily Express led with ”Kate: my cancer came as a huge shock”.

The Daily Star chose ”Kate: I have cancer” while the i-review went for ”Kate reveals she has cancer and has started chemotherapy”.

The statement by the Princess of Wales also dominated news abroad with big screens in central New York carrying the details to tens of thousands passing by.

TV bulletins across Europe also led with the story.
