The Prince of Wales headed to glittering night at the BAFTAs

The Prince of Wales will attend the BAFTAS in London.

Prince William, who is President of the Academy of Film and Television Arts, will join some of the biggest names in movies at the glittering ceremony which takes a star role in awards season.

It signals a return to business for the heir to the throne who has spent the past week with his family as his children enjoy their half term. The Princess of Wales continues to recuperate following major surgery in January.

It’s expected that the Prince will take on a wide range of duties as the weeks and months unfold. The King continues to limit himself to constitutional duties behind palace doors after being advised to stop public engagements while he undergoes treatment for cancer.

The BAFTAs are one of the high points of the entertainment world’s year and this year blockbusters including Oppenheimer and Barbie are up for some of the most prized awards.

The Prince of Wales will meet some of the winners after the ceremony including the recipient of this year’s EE Rising Star Award.
