The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have arrived in Morocco for their three day visit. The official welcomes were short but sweet if you include the mountain of dates the royals were offered as they touched down at Casablanca. As #RoyalVisitMorocco begins, here are some of the best photos of Harry and Meghan’s first moments in the country…
A royal greeting
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were welcomed to the royal residence they will stay at by fifteen year old Crown Prince Moulay Hassan.
First steps in Morocco
They had arrived at Casablanca airport earlier on a scheduled flight. The UK ambassador, Thomas Reilly, led the delegation welcoming the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Morocco.
The Duke of Sussex inspected a Guard of Honour at the airport.
There was confirmation ahead of their arrival that medical provisions had been made for the Duchess of Sussex who is now approaching eight months pregnant.
The man with the plan
Thomas Reilly has been overseeing preparations for this visit for months now and his final task involved picking which patriotic socks to wear for the big arrival. He shared his choice – a bright start to what promises to be a busy and exciting three days. Royal Central will, of course, keep you up to date with all the latest developments.
