Upon the return of her on-screen husband to the series in its final season, Suits alluded to their former castmate’s new royal role.
When Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) returned to Suits in Wednesday’s episode, his on-screen wife, Rachel was unavailable to also make an appearance due to her new royal role as the Duchess of Sussex. The show mentioned Rachel on several occasions, and in one scene, Katrina Bennett asked Mike Ross how Rachel was doing.
“If I told you how good, you probably wouldn’t believe me,” he said in response.
The Suits Twitter account even got in on the action tweeting the moment, in gif form, from the scene saying, “Turns out Rachel is doing REALLY well,” and included a winky emoji.

Then-Meghan Markle starred in the USA Network’s Suits from season one through season seven when her character moved to Seattle to head a law firm alongside her husband. Meghan left the series ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018.
Rumours circulated earlier this year that Suits wanted the Duchess of Sussex to return for one last episode. Suits creator Aaron Korsh was rumoured to have offered Meghan millions to the charity of her choice to return to the hit series.
However, in January, he responded to the reports to CNN, “As of this minute I don’t know which of our old original cast will be back and which won’t because we’re so early in the season.
“I can tell you that those things in the papers, I have no idea what they’re talking about.”
The show is now in its final season.
