A Buckingham Palace spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has confirmed in a released statement that the family is currently in Canada to spend quality time together for the holidays.
Naturally, for security and privacy reasons, their location in Canada will not be disclosed.
The spokesperson said, “The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both.”
She added, “The Duke of Sussex has been a frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to the duchess for seven years before she became a member of the Royal Family.
“They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son.”
It is understood that the Duchess’s mother, Doria Ragland, has travelled to Canada to be with them and their seven-month-old son, Archie.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau later tweeted, “Prince Harry, Meghan, and Archie, we’re all wishing you a quiet and blessed stay in Canada. You’re among friends, and always welcome here.”
