Prince Harry talks about Meghan Markle’s first royal Christmas

Meghan Markle joined her fiancé, Prince Harry and several senior members of the British Royal Family for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebrations at Sandringham.

The soon-to-be royal and former Suits actress attended Christmas Day mass with The Queen and her family at St Magdalene Church. Meghan received cheers from the crowd as she walked arm-in-arm with Harry and the royals to and from the church. Meghan appeared to be a massive hit with the crowds. After mass, everyone returned to Sandringham House for dinner and to watch The Queen’s 2017 Christmas speech.

The very happy royal served as guest editor for the BBC’s Radio 4 Today programme on Tuesday. He was interviewed about his holiday. He had nothing but praise for his future wife, Meghan: “The family loved having her there. We had an amazing time staying with my brother and sister-in-law and running around with the kids.

“It’s like the family she’s never had. It was fantastic having her there.

“There’s always that family part of Christmas, there’s always that work element as well, and I think together we had an amazing time.”

The Prince joked about the numerous Royal Family traditions he had to explain to Meghan. He said she handled it like a champ: “I think we’ve got one of the biggest families that I know of and every family is complex, as well, so she’s done an absolutely amazing job, getting in there.”

Harry was right at home in the BBC studio; he interviewed former U.S. President Barack Obama. The two men are good friends and share an easy comradery. President Obama asked if he was invited for Harry and Meghan’s May 2018 wedding. Harry joked: “I don’t know about that, we haven’t even put the invite or the guest list together, who knows if he’s going to be invited or not, I wouldn’t want to ruin that surprise.”

He also had the opportunity to interview his father, The Prince of Wales where the two discussed the environment, an issue important both men.
