Before she was the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle was a regular fixture on TV screens in the legal drama Suits, and now some of her costumes from the hit show will be on display in a new exhibit.
Suits: A Farewell Celebration Exhibit opened last week at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills and displays two of the costumes Markle wore in her role as Rachel Zane.
“Over the course of its eight seasons, UCP’s sophisticated and always stylish drama Suits has captured the hearts and imaginations of USA viewers around the world who have made it an international hit,” the Paley Center for Media said in a press release. “Now, as the ninth and final season premieres, The Paley Center for Media is delighted to salute the show’s epic run with a new exhibit featuring photography and iconic costumes from series costume designer Jolie Andreatta.”
The two costumes worn by Markle include a Nina Ricci blouse and Ralph Lauren skirt worn in the episode “Admission of Guilt” and a Gucci coat, Tom Ford skirt, and jewellery by Johanna Torell in the episode “Divide & Conquer.”
In addition to Rachel Zane’s costumes, visitors can take a look at those from other characters on the show, including “Harvey Spector” (Gabriel Macht), “Donna Paulsen” (Sarah Rafferty), “Louis Litt” (Rick Hoffman), “Samantha Wheeler” (Katherine Heigl), “Alex Williams” (Dulé Hill), “Katrina Bennett” (Amanda Schull), “Jessica Pearson” (Gina Torres), and “Mike Ross” (Patrick J. Adams).
The exhibit will also offer a special costume preview of Pearson, the new spin-off centered on the character Jessica Pearson, as played by Gina Torres.
The Suits display will run through 17 September and admission to the exhibit is free. The Paley Center is open Wednesday to Sunday, from noon to 5 pm. Members receive priority entrance when the exhibit opens at noon. For more information, visit their website.
