Duke and Duchess of Sussex to make their first Buckingham Palace balcony appearance

We didn’t get the famous Buckingham Palace balcony kiss during the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they married in Windsor, away from London.

However, this Saturday the newlyweds will make their first appearance on the balcony with the rest of the Royal Family as they mark Trooping the Colour in honour of The Queen’s birthday, according to The Mirror.

A source told The Mirror: “There will be huge interest in seeing the newlyweds after the magic of their wedding.

“The balcony appearance is the perfect symbol of how Meghan has been welcomed into the family.”

It is expected that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on their honeymoon. Places like Botswana, Namibia and Jasper, Canada have all been thrown out as suggestions to where the couple has escaped to. Fortunately for them, no photos, wherever they are, have leaked.

The last time Prince Harry and Meghan were seen in public was at The Prince of Wales’ 70th birthday party at a Buckingham Palace garden party on 22 May. They had postponed their honeymoon so they could attend the event.

On 14 June, the Duchess will undertake her first engagement away from Prince Harry when she accompanies The Queen for a day of engagements.

The Queen and Meghan will conduct a series of engagements in Chester together before heading back to London in the evening taking the royal train both ways.

Travelling on the royal train will be a massive honour for Meghan with very few people ever getting the opportunity to ride on the vehicle.

The train is only available to be used by The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

According to the Daily Mail’s royal correspondent, even Prince William and Prince Harry have not used the train in an official capacity before.
