New details released about the wedding of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle

Kensington Palace has released new details about the upcoming wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle in May.

It has been revealed that the wedding service will begin at St George’s Chapel at 12:00 and will last for approximately one hour.

Once the service is over, the newlyweds will undertake a Carriage Procession along a route from St George’s Chapel, leaving Windsor Castle and proceeding through Windsor Town.

Harry and Meghan hope that by having a procession, it will provide more of an opportunity for people to come together and enjoy the atmosphere of the day.

The Dean of Windsor, The Rt Revd. David Conner will conduct the service at St George’s Chapel. The Archbishop of Canterbury will officiate the service as the couple make their marriage vows.

After the service, a reception will be held for the couple and their guests. Prince Harry and Meghan will arrive at the celebrations following the conclusion of the carriage procession.

Later that evening, Prince Charles will host a private reception for the couple’s close friends and family.

Other details such as who is on the guest list are expected to be revealed much closer to the time.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will get married on Saturday 19th May at in St George’s Chapel located in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The choice of venue means the wedding will be a much smaller affair than that of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011 when they got married at Westminster Abbey.
