New on True Royalty: The Queen’s Coronation in Colour

Our partners at True Royalty have added a new show to their arsenal: The Queen’s Coronation in Colour.

Originally released for the 65th anniversary of The Queen’s coronation by ITV, The Queen’s Coronation in Colour can now be watched on the online streaming service, True Royalty. So, if you missed it when it originally aired and have been wanting to watch it but didn’t know how, sign up for True Royalty today and you can watch it at your leisure.

The Queen’s coronation took place on 2 June 1953 at Westminster Abbey. She had become Queen a year earlier on 6 February 1952 upon the death of her father, King George VI.

Before the 2018 ITV documentary, the majority of footage available from that momentous day was in black and white. Now, colourised versions of footage are available for the world to view.

The documentary includes remarks from The Queen’s cousin, Prince Michael of Kent, as well as Sir Trevor McDonald, Len Goodman and Alison Steadman.
